2015 Subaru Impreza Updates
In both its four and five door forms, the Subaru Impreza has proven itself as an affordable and accommodating smaller sized sedan/hatchback. Although it was not redesigned, the 2015 Subaru Impreza was updated to include a number of improvements in regards to exterior and interior style, fuel efficiency, and all-new technology.
The Impreza is a smaller car option compared to the Legacy, but now shows off a new front bumper, grille, and headlights when approaching while the new mirrors help to improve aerodynamics.
All models will still be powered by the 2.0L Subaru Boxer engine that churns out 148 hp but fuel economy has been improved and is estimated at 28 city/ 37 mpg highway. While it keeps fairly steady with its class competitors in terms of fuel economy, the low price and number of features is what keeps the Impreza ahead of the pack.
The updated exterior of the Impreza and improved aerodynamics help to make for a quieter ride, especially with the addition of “sound deadening and thicker side glass windows with improved sealing.” The cabin is not only a quieter ride, but a more comfortable one. Backseat passengers can count on 35.4 inches of legroom and seats that split-and-fold to create additional storage space.
Compared to its sedan form, the five-door version provides 22.5 cu.ft of space with all seats in place, but with the rear seats folded down, it more than doubles, allowing for 52.4 cu.ft. But the greatest update to the cabin has to be the introduction of Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
Joining the Subaru Legacy, Forester, and Outback, the Impreza now is available with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology which has earned the other three vehicles Top Safety Pick+ status according to the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety.
